start a terminal with utf-8 support : rxvt-unicode
sudo yum install rxvt-unicode
urxvt -fn "xft:Tibetan Machine Uni" -fb "8x16"
you should be able to see tibetan characters :
when opening the following file wylie.txt with vi editor
If you want you can create an alias that you could call tibterm (in you .bashrc for exemple) :
alias tib='urxvt -fn "xft:Tibetan Machine Uni" -fb "8x16"'
So to launch a tibetan terminal , simply type tibterm
You should also be able to open the file with open office :)
